Hello, and welcome to a Monday post! Today i am going to be talking about an adventure that my mom, my sister, and i had over sometime last week. So, my sister, Anna, goes to UGA, University of Georgia, and we went up to visit her.
After forgetting to make her the gluten-free gingerbread cookies from a previous post, we went to a coffee shop called “Two Story Coffee House” and had some coffee, hot chocolate for me.
Then we went to Earth Fare and she got groceries and we all got lunch. My lunch was a HUGE slice of cheese pizza, aka my favorite food. My sister is in this club/fundraising thing called the ‘Cure’ which raises money for simple surgeries for children in Kenya that they just can’t afford; example – a cleft palate surgery. And, recently they did a fundraiser called “Fall Flannel” which was held in this really cool barn and it was basically live music-fire pit-dancing-donate money thing. Nearby to the location of that is a nature park called ‘Athens Botanical Garden’. So, we had a picnic and i took some pictures and stuff,
Then, we tested our luck and decided to go see if the place “Fall Flannel” was held was locked. It wasn’t! We ventured down a dirt road, crossed a railway line, and ended up at the barn. It was named “The Pit” and had a cool swing on the front that we took pictures sitting in,
After that, we went to Anna’s dorm room to drop off the food and then went downtown. First we went to Urban Outfitters where i got 2 nail polishes, a cute hat for winter, and $10 Mary-Janes! Next, we went to my favorite place in Athens, which is “Insomnia Cookies”. It is open until 4am, hence the name. I got 3 for me and 3 for my other sister who lives at home. I’ve already eaten all of them! Then, we went home, which was sad, but saw a beautiful sunset to cheer us up.
