The Darkest Minds Series – Review+Summary (*NO SPOILERS*) – February 12, 2016

Hello and welcome to a Friday post! Today i’m going to be doing a book review/plot on ‘The Darkest Minds” series by Alexandra bracken. There will be no spoilers! Here we go!

REVIEW:

I LOVE THIS BOOK! This is my favorite book I’ve ever read. Its even better than Divergent! The author of this series wrote it in such an amazing way that you feel so drawn into the characters and storyline that you want to feel what they feel and be who they are. Its such a weird feeling, but an absolutely empowering one! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who just wants to read a good dystopian universe novel. This is just one of those books you cannot put down until you finish it!

REALISTIC (1) TO DYSTOPIAN (10):

9.8/10 – only because the dystopian started as normal America!

RATING:

10/10 – LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Series: The Darkest Minds, Never Fade, In The Afterlight, (novella!) Through The Dark.

SUMMARY (NO SPOILERS)

The story starts with Ruby, main character, in a government rehabilitation camp for kids who survived IAAN and developed crazy abilities. Abilities (least to most powerful): Green (intellectual), Blue (telekinetic), Yellow (electrokinetic), Orange (telepathic), and Red (pyrokinetc or fire). A doctor helps Ruby escape and then she runs away from the doctors and finds a girl. She introduces Ruby to her friends in the worst way possible. They go on crazy adventures with danger lurking around ever corner.

OTHER THOUGHT:

This book series has inspired me to write a new book. For the past year i have been writing a dystopian book, but this book series made me want to write a more mature dystopian book. So i have! It is not the writing Wednesday book, even though i am continuing that too. I’m hoping to finish it by the summer!

Thanks for reading and please like, comment any suggestions, feedback or questions, and follow for weekly posts! Until next time,
