The Unbecoming Of Mara Dyer \ Trilogy Review – July 8, 2016

Hello and welcome to a Friday post! This is a book review for: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, The Evolution of Mara Dyer, and The Retribution of Mara Dyer.

9/10. This is my favorite trilogy i have ever read! Before, The Darkest Minds topped the charts but TUOMD has topped them all. This series is a thriller with paranormal and dystopian elements, though not any of those categories alone. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who likes books about loss, grief, love, mental health, mystery,  and plot twist after plot twist until the final page.

/Synopsis for The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer/ (no spoilers)
Mara Dyer’s life is ordinary, normal. Until one day when she wakes up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there. The doctors tell her she was in an accident that killed all of her friends, but didn’t kill her. Mara’s family has to move to a different state to escape all of the press and pressure and guilt, but one of those follows them. Mara meets Noah, a boy who appears to know more about Mara and the accident than she does. As they get closer, secrets are found out and nothing will ever be the same again.

/Synopsis for The Evolution of Mara Dyer/ (spoilers if you haven’t read the actual first book)
Mara Dyer wakes up in a psychiatric ward and everyone thinks she’s crazy. But, she isn’t and no one will believe her. She is seeing visions and dreams that are memories but aren’t her own. Her ex-boyfriend, the one who died in the accident, isn’t dead and she knows it; they just think she’s hallucinating. But then Mara and Noah uncover a secret too big to be untrue, a secret that will not only change the lives of those affected by it, but everyone alive.

/Synopsis for The Retribution of Mara Dyer/ (spoilers if you haven’t read book 1 or 2)
Mara Dyer has been branded as crazy, delusional, and unbelievable… until now. No one has ever thought what she said was true or even a possibility. With her boyfriend and other friends who are experiencing the same paranormal activities, they band together to but an end to the lies once and for all.

This book series was an extraordinary read! The plot and concept were insane and absolutely thought out. It is very thorough and has twist after twist until the very last page. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone and will recommend this for years in the future.
