/RATING/
9/10 – I really enjoyed this book! It isn’t what i usually read, since i prefer dystopian or contemporary and this was under the fantasy and adventure category. I would recommend for anyone to read this before going to see the movie!

/SYNOPSIS/
After a horrible tragedy happens upon Jacob’s family, an event ruled as an accident, Jacob adventures to an island off of the coast of Wales. As he’s there, Jacob discovers something his grandpa used to tell him about in bedtime stories, the place his grandpa used to live; an abandoned children’s home. As he searches the crumbling ruins and finds old photographs with extraordinary things happening in them, things that must be fake,  he discovers something even crazier; the strange children just might still be alive.
And something even more deranged: Jacob might be one of them.

/FAVORITE QUOTES/
1: “…what an unchallenging life it would be if we always got things right on the first go.”

2: “I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice just how extraordinary it was.”

/OVERALL/
This was an amazing read and i would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Keep your eyes peeled for my book and movie comparison coming soon!

Thanks for reading and come back for more random posts! Until next time,
